Org chart for PowerPoint and Google Slides

Building an org chart in PowerPoint with SmartArt works for tiny teams, but it gets painful fast — boxes overlap, lines break, and every reorg means redrawing. A simpler path: create the chart online, export PNG, insert into PowerPoint or Google Slides.

Step 1: Build the chart online

Open Simple Org Chart, add people or import CSV, and let automatic layout handle org chart design. Drag to reparent when reporting lines change.

Step 2: Export PNG

Click Export PNG and choose 2× or 3× resolution for crisp projection. The download includes the full chart with padding — not just what fits on screen.

Step 3: Insert into your deck

In PowerPoint: Insert → Pictures. In Google Slides: Insert → Image. Resize to fit. Update the PNG whenever the structure changes — often quicker than editing SmartArt box by box.
